By leveraging these core capabilities, HBS helps to drive efficiencies into the supply chain by increasing competition and affordability through 2nd Source Development, while reducing material lead times.

Engineering Services

High Bridge Solution provides value-added supply chain, material, and project engineering support to our customers. Our engineering staff analyzes customer provided BOM’s, and associated drawings to ensure all items provided in our kits, or any material fabricated in-house or by our team of fabricators, meet all specifications to ensure platform compliance. Our in-depth understanding of material, coating, and fabrication specifications provides our customers with a sense of comfort knowing that material provided by HBS will be correct the first time, every time.

Obsolescence Management & Mitigation

Obsolescence Management is defined as implementing plans to identify and mitigate risk when parts, spares, equipment, etc. become obsolete.

Over the course of many years of managing legacy platforms and associated products, HBS has successfully developed and implemented the processes, procedures, programs, and skills necessary to mitigate the effects of obsolescence. Our proactive, strategic, and tactical approach allows us to mitigate many of the risks associated with obsolescence, therefore reducing its impact on through-cycle costs and extending platform life. We not only establish external 2^nd sources of supply, but we also have the capability to reverse engineer and fabricate Diminishing Manufacturing Source (DMS) items in-house as required.

We work closely with our supply base to identify near-end-of-life and end-of-life material in order to determine the most affordable and effective strategy to ensure uninterrupted platform maintenance and usage.

Our DMS and Obsolescence efforts include:

DMS and Obsolescence mitigation planning
Obsolescence management health checks and status reporting (GIDEP)
Analysis of all components within the Bill of Materials (BOM)
Advanced notification of impending obsolescence together with mitigation options, such as:
- Negotiating with the supplier or OEM
- Lifetime or Bridge buys
- Identification or creation of alternate supply
- Component Uprating / Up screening
- Component replacement
- Reverse Engineering and Fabrication
- Re-design

Product Development

HBS provides Precision Machining, Fabrication, and Finishing/Plating to support prototype, low rate, and large scale production runs.

This has allowed HBS to mitigate issues associated with "cold supply chain lines," such as long lead times and considerably high set-up and non-recurring costs.

Additionally, to ensure that we can meet our customers needs for the fabrication of hard to procure items, our team provides

Turning, Milling, Welding, and Sheet Metal Bending across the spectrum from simple to complex, high precision/high tolerance items
